one of the commissions i’ve done recently lol - they basically wanted something with narcissa having snape over for tea and him being awkward and gave me free reign so I made it for snape to get to know his future ~favorite student~.   So Snape is hearing about how good at quidditch he is (even tho he is what like 8 lol), and probably thinking about how much this kid is going to get beat up

Harry Potter isn’t just another kids book. It parallels reality: the government which chooses to address less serious concerns rather than face the real threats, the child soldiers, the war victims. The existence of magic doesn’t make that reality less real. Fictional or not, people can leave scars that last a life time; words are like curses, they can either help or hurt.

Harry Potter isn’t just a book, not to me.
